 Antoinette Sheffield, Illustrator 
 

Sheffield was awarded a scholarship to the Dayton Art Institute and attended Ohio State University, Sinclair Community College and University of New Mexico at Los Alamos. Areas of study included Art, Nursing, Anatomy and Fine Arts. Sheffield wrote and illustrated a monthly column for the Hi Cincinnatians newsletter.

The illustrator received a Photography Award for her photograph LEARNING, A SPRINGTIME ADVENTURE which accompanied her article in The National Montessori Reporter. Sheffield's art has been exhibited at the University of New Mexico in Los Alamos.

Sheffield illustrated FUN PHONICS, Children, Today’s Joy! and developed the books’ geography pages and illustrated the text, the activity pages and the Program Guide. With Trish Mylet, the writer of the FUN PHONICS! set, Sheffield co-developed the integrated curriculum of the books and co-publishes the books under the logo Sizzy Books. The books are currently in use in all 50 of the United States, and in Canada, Europe, Asia and South America.

Sheffield's previous occupations were in the areas of nursing, sales and fashion. As Miss Tall International, Sheffield received international recognition and was featured in a number of radio, television and newspaper articles. The illustrator has also organized and coordinated various conferences and pageants.

Sheffield resides in New Mexico.

Areas of interest and activity include:

School volunteer, Girl Scouts, Gardening, Soccer, Swimming, Hiking, Fishing, Camping and loves to Read.
