Check the new web site of  Phonic Pathways  by Dolores G. Hiskes.  This comprehensive, user-friendly reading and spelling manual is designed for everyone -- kindergarten through adult literacy.  Step-by-step lessons begin and end  with a wealth of creative teaching tips. Single letters blend into syllables, then slowly build into words, phrases, and sentences.  Filled with wise, humorous proverbs to learn from and be warmed by.   Reinforces values such as patience, self-reliance, kindness, etc. Builds self-confidence while making learning fun and easy!

A good place to begin the pursuit toward understanding Learning Disabilities is LD Online.  Well-organized and intuitive, this site has something for everyone--teachers, parents, teens and children.  Use the menue bar at the top of the home page to find bulletin boards, general information, local and national resources, kids pages and more. (J. Bedard, Web Guide Mag. Dec. 1999)

Cute as a Bug.  Infant, toddler, and children's clothing, accessories, gifts, and toys.  Weekly specials, updated every Thursday.   Size chart and gift certificates. (Web Guide Mag. Dec. 1999)

At Montessori Connections  you will find the most complete Montessori Web Site on the internet.  Within these pages are hundreds of links to Montessori schools, organizations, training centers, consultants and businesses all over the world.  Montessori Connections also has employment ads, classified ads and a Montessori Calendar of events. The goal of Father's World is to ""promote and celebrate fatherhood and the family in general."  The site includes articles, chat areas and newsletters.  It's an open and supportive "family" where everyone is happy to pitch in and offer advice. - JP, WWWGuide Monthly, Feb. 1999

Our Kids, is one of the largest cross-disability Internet mailing lists for parents of kids with special needs.   Our-Kids focuses as much on factual information as it does on moral support.   Besides the searchable message archive, there is a collection of resources that members have put together over the years.  This includes inspirational writings, coping strategies, and health care files on topics such as special needs dentistry and special diets.

A wonderful site for fathers is Fathers Resource Center. Helps provide men with the inner resources to be the kind of father their children and their families need by providing resources that effectively educate, advocate and support fatherhood.

An excellent site for parents of children of all ages is Parents Place. Offers links/chats with other parents, doctors, teachers, etc. on an encyclopedic variety of topics.

Interested in exploring educational options for your child? Visit the Montessori Foundation web site. The Foundation reflects a heritage of international education, the implementation of cutting edge educational technology, the development of a strong sense of community and family friendliness within our schools, and a return to Dr. Montessori's focus on building a better world by helping children discover their capacity to live in peace, learn without boundaries throughout their lifetimes, find meaningful work, and discover the joy of friendships and community.
